Common questions

Which golf courses in Alabama are playable today?: 52 of the 156 Alabama courses with a current reading are playing dry right now. The table above lists each one with its 48-hour rainfall.
Is it too wet to golf in Alabama right now?: 27 Alabama courses read as too wet to play, and 77 read as soft. Wet means enough rain has fallen in 48 hours that the soil profile cannot clear it.
How does DryLies decide if a course is wet or dry?: Turf status is a model reading computed from rainfall over the last 48 hours, the soil drainage profile of each course, root-zone soil moisture, temperature and wind. It is not a report from the course itself. Call ahead before you drive out if the call matters.
